Today I have
seen a worth able show in my life, Woke up at 5:10am as usual time and my mom
argued with me to take head bath as today is Karthikai Deepam. Myself and Dad
started our journey to Omalur village office to remove my sister’s name from the
Ration card. As usual there was a lot of rush in the govt. office and the officials there were lazy. We bought a name removing form
and filled it up.
My dad started to stand in queue and his turn had come to show the form, they asked him to take a recommendation letter and signature from the ration shop (where my family gets ration items). We went to the ration shop but it was closed and my dad told that he knows the shop woman very well and her house is near-by the shop itself.
We went to her house but she was not there, we asked her mother, the reason she gave us was very surprising. The shop lady has gone to sell lightening pots (Maan vizhaku) . I got surprised because a woman who is controlling the ration shop (almost 200 families are getting ration items) is gone to sell lightening pots. We went to that shop to get the signature, she was sitting on the road side and the lightening pots were placed over a long paper in front of her and she was shouting to sell the lightening pots.
I was very surprised after seeing this incident because we were coming on a bike looking for her to get signature in that form, her signature was very important to get the request in process. We got signature from her and also recommendation the letter. Really hats off to her because whenever she gets free time , she does some useful things for her but we don’t.
